Detroit Burlesque Performers Miss Holly Hock & Leena Allure will guide you through an 7 week advanced course of burlesque covering everything from how to incorporate bellydance elements into your choreography to advance stage hair and makeup and more!
This course is perfect for any one who is familiar with the basics of burlesque or who may already be a seasoned performer but would like to improve certain aspects of their performance or stage persona. Purchase the entire course and save $25 or purchase individual classes. No dance experience is necessary, a prior knowledge of burlesque basics is helpful but also not required.
Class sizes are limited and spaces fill up fast, register early! Must be 21+.
Students also have the option of purchasing a costume package at a discounted rate as well. The costume package includes a gross of rhinestones in your choice of color, lip or eye glitter and a Lux Showgirl boa or bustle in the color of your choice. 7/12/17 7pm-8pm – Week 1 – Strut, Shimmy & Shake
In this class we will cover advanced choreography, burlesque movement and how to get that confident, sexy stride on stage.
7/19/17 7pm-8pm Week 2 – Costuming Part 1
In this class we will cover advanced costuming tips and tricks to create a truly striking costume for stage!
7/26/17 7pm-8pm Week 3 – Costuming Part 2
In this class we will continue our tips and tricks for costuming and will also be creating a pair of pasties!
8/2/17 7pm-8pm Week 4 – Belly Dance
In this class we will be learning basic belly dance moves and how to incorporate them into your burlesque routine to create something truly elegant and sultry.
8/9/17 7pm-8pm Week 5 – Chair Dancing & Stocking Peels
In this class we will teach you how to incorporate sexy chair moves into your routine as well as how to get that perfect stocking peel.
8/16/17 7pm-8pm Week 6 – Advanced Hair Styling
In this class we will teach you tips and tricks for creating the gorgeous hair styles inspired by the 20’s-50’s. Perfect for stage, photoshoots & more.
8/23/17 7pm-8pm Week 7 – Advanced Makeup
In this class we will teach you tips and tricks for creating glamorous looks with makeup inspired by the 20’s-50’s. Perfect for stage, photoshoots & more.
