Since starting our burlesque courses and workshops in 2016 we have seen it change so many women’s lives. Friendships and bonds are made, self esteem is boosted, creativity is sparked and women are giving themselves permission to feel sexy and empowered. We strive to make it accessible to all women by offering split payment plans and schedule flexibility. However we wanted to take it one step further and offer more.
We are excited to announce the Detroit School of Burlesque Scholarship! Twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall we will award one scholarship.
The recipient of the scholarship will receive:
- A full 9 week Burlesque 101 course
- a pair of custom 3D printed pasties
- a rhinestone prize pack
- 2 private coaching sessions
- 4 hours of studio rehearsal time
- A Detroit School of Burlesque T-Shirt
Total value of $500
You can nominate yourself or someone else you believe is deserving of the scholarship (make sure you have their permission first). Tell us about yourself, why you want to win the scholarship and what burlesque means to you in 400 words or less. The first Scholarship will be awarded at our Spring Student Showcase on May 27th.
