Silk Veil Manipulation Level 2 with Gaea Lady

Level 2 : Silk ripples like water & flows like air. It is strong, supple, sensual, and steeped in history, stories, process, and myth. Combined with light and movement, silk invokes dramatic magic for the human senses.
Join Gaea Lady in this Intermediate/Advanced exploration of movement with silk. We deep dive into pattern, philosophy, and technique to integrate dancer with fabric with greater nuance & mastery. We move quickly as we refine and explore dynamic whips, dreamy floats, infinite recursive spins, advanced weaves, tosses, drapes, wraps, specific body integrations, and improvisation to ignite the senses and unique creativity within. Students will dance with unweighted veils, & weighted veils – building on prior knowledge with silk & Gaea’s specialty weighted veil.
Students should bring a 6+ foot silk or light fabric veil & their weighted veils. Gaea will have a limited amount of veils available for use, borrow, and sale. For custom orders in advance, contact gaealady@gmail.com
Students must have taken a prior Veil Class with Gaea or contact for approval before taking Level 2!
