>Please welcome to the stage: Celebrating burlesque performers and winning over audiences through burlesque emceeing
Kitten Von Mitten is a local and national award-winning burlesque performer. She is currently one of Detroit’s most sought after burlesque hosts and emcees. The emcee of a burlesque show plays the crucial role in romancing the audience in between acts, controlling the momentum of the production and working the energy of the crowd to keep spectators in anticipation for each upcoming act. In this workshop, you will learn how to adjust your stage persona to achieve these goals. We’ll cover the basics of a smooth emceeing strategy, tricks to filling in unexpected gaps, developing your own personal emcee style through discussion and exercises.
Burlesque needs quality emcees just as much as it needs quality performers!
