Last night was the much anticipated Noche de los Muertos III – Damned Day of the Dead Afterparty at Tangent Gallery. The show featured Day of the Dead inspired art, face painting, mexican style food (even adorable themed cupcakes!), vendors, activities and an alter to honor loved ones who have passed. Artists and guests attended with beautiful sugar skull style makeup and floral hair pieces which really added to the atmosphere of the event. There were many really stunning and creative art pieces at the event with everything from stained glass to sculpture. I was honored to have a piece of my own in the show titled Señor Bones, a mixed media piece composed of vintage and antique materials. I was delighted that it not only sold at the show but that I was able to meet the lovely couple who purchased it!
The evening was the perfect close to a wonderful month of Halloween events, gallery shows and fall festivities. October felt like it was over in the blink of any eye with as busy as it was but it was a really amazing and fun filled month.
